New Water Well for Pandeglang

Pandeglang, Banten Province, Indonesia

Early on this year, Human Aid Initiative and overseas partner were able to work with the community of Pandeglang to construct and create a clean and safe water well for the villagers residing there. This is a village where clean water is scarce and difficult to come by due to being in a drought for the last 6 months. With this project, we hope to aid the community in having safer access to water.

Thanks to our wonderful donor DALMO, this well was successfully created in Pandeglang, Banten Province, Indonesia. Supporting 50 families in Margasana village.

After creation, we pass the torch on to community members to sustain this water well and hope to aid in the villagers livelihood, providing an easier and safer way to access water.

The Program

This program intended to provide water well for the community so that they have access to
clean water without risk, thus improving their health. This well was constructed from scratch.

Human Aid Initiative UK worked together with overseas partner Human Initiative to provide this aid at the Al Istiqomah Mushola, Kp. Tarogong, RT 08 RW 03, Village of Margasana, Pagelaran District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten, West Java.

Future Considerations

This program can be followed with other programs – such as development of appropriate housing as there are still houses made from woven bamboo.
