Our volunteers distributing water to residents


A total of 12 sub-districts in Sintang Regency and 12 sub-districts in Melawi Regency, West Kalimantan, Indonesia were submerged.

According to information from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Sintang, the flooding was caused by heavy rains which resulted in the water discharge of the Melawi River and Kapuas River increasing since October 21, 2021.

Around 54,000 people in 14 regencies have been affected in various ways, including about 12,000 forced into temporary shelters.

For 4 days, we have distributed thousands of litres of urgently needed clean water to those affected by the flood.
